City of Wahpeton
Spring Clean Up Week is scheduled for the week of May 12th through May 16th for City of Wahpeton residents. Waste Management will pick up items on the boulevards for all single family or duplex residences only! Apartment units, mobile home park residents and commercial properties are NOT eligible for spring cleanup as they are not billed from the City. Pick up will be on your normal garbage pickup day. This event will be held on Thursday, May 15th, 2025, 11:00 am – 2:30 pm at the Wahpeton Community Center. The event includes: booths with information on local services, Balance and Falls Screenings, a delicious lunch, guest speakers and door prizes! No charge to attend, we just ask for a free will offering for the lunch. Kinship of Richland Wilkin Counties is gearing up for their 19th Annual Amazing Race! The Race will be on Thursday, June 5th! Check in will be from 5:00 to 5:50 with the Race starting at 6:00pm! The Race begins and ends at Hughes Shelter in Chahinkapa Park! (Entry Team fee is $300 for competitive or family divisions! Team entry deadline is Tuesday, May 13th) Fees due before the race! All proceeds support Kinship mentoring programs!
